Picture your dog engaged in an exhilarating game of chase across a vast field with their furry friends, venturing into the expansive woods exploring miles of natural beauty and then resting by a running brook.
Sounds better than doggy daycare, right?

What can my dog expect on an adventure?A typical adventure with us ensures your dog enjoys an exciting day out. During the hike your dog will run, sniff, play and explore for hours. We hike thru open fields, wooded trails, lakes, brooks and rivers. The morning hike is usually between 3.5-5 miles and the afternoon is usually 2 miles. We capture the fun through photos and provide you with a GPS-tracked map of our exploration. Once the hike concludes, we safely return all dogs to their homes – tired, socialized, and undoubtedly happy.
-
Do you hike year round?Yes, we hike year round in all weather. If the weather is too dangerous we don’t hike. We will let you know ASAP if there will be any changes to the schedule. We can certainly let your dog out if you need us to even if we can’t hike, just ask.
-
What time is pick up and drop off?Pick up for weekday morning hikes can range from 9:00-10:00am and dogs will typically be home between 1:00-2:30pm. For afternoon hikes pickup will be between 1:30-2:30pm and drop off between 3:30-4:30pm. Weekend hikes take place midday in order to meet all of our clients’ needs.
-
Where do you hike? Most days we hike on over 100 Acres of private land but we like to take an occasional field trip to some of our favorite off-leash reservations.
-
How many dogs hike in a group?Typically we have between 6-8 dogs per pack. Hiking on private land lets us be flexible with our packs, giving each dog the ability to hike and play with likeminded friends.
-
Do I need to be home when you pick up and drop off?No, not at all. Most clients are either out of the house or busy so they provide us with one of the following: a door code, a key or a garage code. Whatever you are most comfortable with.
-
Do you take all dogs?We take all dogs that enjoy being with friends, have amazing recall and are able to hike for several miles on all terrain. All sizes and breeds are welcome as long as they meet our requirements.
-
Will my dog be off-leash?If he or she has off-leash experience, has good recall and likes to socialize with other dogs than, yes! We start new dogs off on a long lead as well as attach one of our guest GPS trackers until they are comfortable and learn the routine – pickup, hike with friends, and then go home to their family. Most dogs thrive in the “pack” environment so they like to stay with the pack. If you would prefer to keep them on leash we can certainly accommodate that but know that it is sometimes frustrating for them. We recommend all dogs who join us to have a tracking device on their collars, Sky uses Fi but there are many other options such as Tractive, Whistle, Apple Air tag (not the most reliable option as it doesn't work well in the woods but it is a good inexpensive backup), etc. We will definitely go over all off-leash questions at the meet and greet.
-
What is your cancellation policy? We allow you to cancel at any time up until the night before our hike at no charge. But… If you have scheduled a service with us and you don't cancel by 6pm we will charge you the full rate. It is very easy in your portal to update your schedule.
-
Will my dog get dirty?Yes! Your dog will be exploring woodlands, fields and brooks that are occasionally muddy depending on the weather and season. Rest assured we do a tick check and towel dry after every hike. :)

-
Do you use a scheduling software?Yes, we use Time To Pet. It is a secure online portal (or app) that houses all your forms, payments and schedules in one easy place. The app makes it so easy to add and remove adventures as needed.
-
What about TICKS?Unfortunately, ticks are now part of year-round outdoor living here in New England. Where they were once just in the woods and tall grasses, they are now in our yards and playgrounds. We take the following precautions: * We expect all dogs to be on a tick preventative year round. * We spray all the dogs with Wondercide (an all natural repellent) during the high season. You have an option to opt out of this. * We do a tick check after each hike but ask that you do another check after a few hours. It usually takes a few hours for them to appear.
